Crochet. What is crochet? Crochet is the craft of making a fabric from yarn, thread or other material using a crochet hook. Very basically, the fabric is made by repeatedly pulling one loop of yarn through another. Crochet differs from knitting in that loops are made with a hook and in knitting, loops are made with a pair of knitting needles. Crochet stitches get closed while you work with them and in knitting, loops are for the most part left open until the end of the project. Crochet is a French word that means hook. At Knitting-Warehouse you can find Crochet Thread, Yarn, all sizes and styles of crochet hooks, crochet kits, other crochet supplies, books, and free crochet patterns for both the beginner and advanced crocheter. Also, find storage and organizers for your hooks and projects. If you would like to learn how to crochet, we recommend videos from popular yarn manufacturers.
